TWO PARTS CREATIVITY. ONE PART WORK ETHIC. ADD A SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR AND STIR FOR 10 YEARS.

He was a copywriter at a local ad agency. She was a waitress at a fancy restaurant. They had their first of two buns in the oven, a succession of failed businesses behind them, and six-thousand bucks to their name. One morning she decided that the restaurant business was no longer for her. Now, she was now going to fix people’s skin for a living because that excited her. He didn’t really know where to go with that, so he just went. Next thing you know, she’s in school learning how to fix people’s skin & he’s her chauffeur. One day he picks her up & she starts going on about all she’d learned in that day’s bikini waxing class. Bikini waxing class? He ponders for a moment, and then mumbles, “Wouldn’t it be funny if we opened up a bikini waxing salon called BOX?” They laughed hysterically, and then went & leased a space.

Nearly 10 years later, BOX is consistently recognized in local publications as well as fashion magazines around the country as one of the top waxing boutiques in existence. Bree Goldwater (a.k.a. She) remains the city’s most sought after aesthetician thanks to her unrelenting work ethic, meticulous nature, and darn near painless technique. And yes, she fixes people’s skin, too. Her appointments come at a premium, but they’re well worth it. Jason Goldwater (a.k.a. He) minds the business end of things, which as you can imagine is a dream come true. His role is to ensure that the business grows smart, that the brand grows distinctive, and that the kids get to school on time.
