Our first salon was in a 500 square-foot space in one of the oldest shopping centers in Las Vegas.
The neighbors included a transgender bar, an escort service, and an Asian bar where a domestic beer could be had for a mere $85U.S. People came to see us from all over the world. Was it the audacity of our name? Was it our interior design? Or, was it the buzz we created by doing nothing more than a great job? Whatever it was, it worked. Demand for our services increased just as we needed parking without being accosted by a transgender hooker to decrease. Today, we purposefully only have one shop in Las Vegas. Not because we don’t want to rub elbows in L.A, New York, and Paris. Not because we don’t want a fancy boats & cars in our driveways. And certainly not because we don’t want to hit the junket trail with the who’s who of Wall Street. Nope. We believe that being small and great is a lost art in world of business. And until we feel 100% confident that we can be big and great, we just assume keep it that way.
